    SXSW is the standard when it comes to music, tech and film festivals, but Brooklyn (of course) is trying to build one of its own with Northside Festival. The festival has only just begun to unveil its more than 400 musical acts, but the main headliners were announced today and the top acts are Brian Wilson performing Pet Sounds as he will at various other festival across the United States to celebrate the Beach Boys album's 50th year anniversary, Kacey Musgraves, Conor Oberst and Wolf Parade.

    Conor Oberst was briefly hospitalized in Florida with laryngitis and other issues while on tour with his political punk band Desaparecidos. Today, the band said that it will cancel the remaining tour dates while Oberst rests at his home in Omaha, Nebraska.
