• Dillon Francis, DJ Snake's "Get Low" Gets Rae Sremmurd Remix

Dillon Francis and DJ Snake's single "Get Low" just got a hip-hop remix from hot up-and-comers Rae Sremmurd. The "No Type" rappers hopped on the tune from the "Set Me Free" and "Turn Down for What" DJs, adding a party-starting verse in the build of the Middle Eastern-influenced club record. The pair wisely implored listeners to be kind to each other, saying in their measured tempo "don't throw shade, throw parties" before shrilly speeding things up as the track crescendos into the drop.
  • 'The Fast and The Furious': Ranking The 7 Soundtracks...Featuring Ludacris, Pitbull, Iggy Azalea and Plenty More

Last week featured the release of the soundtrack for 'Furious 7,' the final installment in the 'Fast and Furious' film franchise. Your correspondent admits that he wasn't a huge fan of the first edition when it debuted during 2001. He's since warmed up to the series as the films have started to feature more and more absurd stunts, and more and more Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The final film, which premieres in theaters next week, looks to be a proper, adrenaline-fueled final chapter and a fitting tribute to Paul Walker. One thing that hasn't necessarily gotten better as the films have progressed: The soundtrack albums. Music Times ranks the seven film companion albums from worst rides to best.

Well, apparently the collaboration was finished enough for others to hear, and DJ Snake has sounded off on the track, saying it is the "record of the year."
  • Grammys 2015 Best Music Video Nominees, Who Should & Who Will Win

The Best Music Video category for this year's Grammys features an array of talent and some striking visual clips. These aren't necessarily the best songs of the year, or even the most well-known. These tunes stand out merely because a director was able to pair the melody with meaningful images. No, "Anaconda" did not make the cut. Neither did "Booty." Instead we have videos from Arcade Fire, Sia and Pharrell Williams that concentrate on shots above the belt.

  • Song Questions with Song Answers: Rod Stewart and Shakira, Lil Jon and Hall & Oates, and More

Acts like One Direction and Taylor Swift have created armies of super-creepy, devoted fans. We're not talking about the typical Directioner...we're talking about the stalkers and X-rated fan fiction writers. Fortunately this isn't the '60s, where fans could apparently infiltrate the music industry and send messages to their idols. The best example is Elvis Presley, specifically his hit "Are You Lonely Tonight?," which according to Billboard generated at least four songs titled "Yes, I'm Lonely Tonight" and one "Oh, How I Miss You Tonight" as "answers" to his question. Odds are these songs were more about profits than untamed hormones, but we love the idea of response tracks.

The track was co-produced with Diplo and features K-Pop stars G-Dragon and CL. The EP will feature DJ Snake collaborating with fellow Frenchman Aazar, another Frenchman, Habstrakt, UK native, Jack Beats and Miami based Ricky Remedy.
  • Stop This Please: 'Turn Down For What' Gets A Punk Cover Featuring Ice T.

This was either a case of the thinking that any press is good press or somebody did not think this one through at all. In an upcoming compilation Punk Goes Pop 6 (there have been six of these ?!), a hardcore, death metal cover of DJ Snake & Lil Jon's trap anthem 'Turn Down For What" was included. The covering offenders are Upon A Burning Body, who got Ice T to spit a verse or two in between solving crimes on Law & Order SVU. The band rewrites the vocals, but keeps the same theme of turning up / down and general debauchery.
  • Carlton From 'Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' Dances To 'Turn Down For What' On 'Dancing With The Stars'

Carlton's dance moves on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" are legendary. It would only make sense that he would take his talents onto the place where stars showcase their dancing talent, Dancing With The Stars. Carlton, who's real name is Alfonso Ribeiro, chose the smash single from DJ Snake and Lil Jon "Turn Down For What" that echoes stadiums and clubs everywhere. Carlton's partners, who are trained dancers, Witney & Lindsay Arnold, come out blazing, laying down a crisp, clean routine that flows with the twists and turns of the song and takes full advantage of the energy put out by "Turn Down For What".
