Insomniac Events' flagship event, Electric Daisy Carnival, has announced it will be headed to Japan in 2016. Details are scarce at the moment, but the event will take place in Tokyo in July next year. So far EDC has expanded internationally to the UK and to Mexico, but its base has been in the United States. The move abroad continues with this new announcement and pushes them into the fertile and fast-growing Asian market. -

Electric Daisy Carnival Announces Expansion for Brazil In 2015
The dust has barely settled over Las Vegas Motor Speedway from the nearly 500,000 pairs of dancing feet at Electric Daisy Carnival and the company who throws the festival, Insomniac Events has already announced a brand new massive which will take place at the end of the year. Insomniac has announced a fresh expansion beyond its traditional base in the United States southward to Brazil for EDC Brasil. The event will take place over two days, Dec. 4-5. -
Insomniac Comments On 24-Year-Old's Death At EDC Las Vegas 2015
This past weekend, ravers from all over the West Coast and the United States proper descended on Las Vegas motor speedway to dance from sunset to sun up at Insomniac Events' flagship festival EDC Las Vegas. In total nearly 500,000 people attended the festival over three days. However, a 24-year-old man died overnight on Saturday according to police. The cause of death is still being determined as a toxicology results may take weeks, but the extreme heat is likely to have had an effect. Insomniac released a statement about the 24-year-old attendee's passing late on Sunday. -

North American summer festival season has slowly eased into being with SXSW, Ultra Music Festival and Coachella over the past month, but with Memorial Day just three weeks away and June on the other side, the large outdoor music spectacles will begin in earnest very soon. The festival will feature your standard DJ headliners in Hardwell, Tiësto and Steve Aoki, while the addition of Pendulum adds a nostalgic feel to the festival even if it is just a DJ set.
