• Mixtape Monday: This Week's Newest Tracks for Sharing

Each and every week we put together our favorite tracks that had premiered a few days prior into one magnificent mixtape to share with you and your friends. This time around we've decided to share new 2015 songs from Drake, Eminem, Robyn, James Blake and more right here!
  • Stream 'Southpaw' Soundtrack Feat. Eminem, 50 Cent, The Weeknd

The new Hollywood feature film Southpaw featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rachel McAdams, Forest Whitaker and others has unveiled the official movie soundtrack that was executive produced by Eminem. The soundtrack features new songs from the Rap God, including a collaboration with Gwen Stefani titled "Kings Never Die," the theme song for the film "Phenomenal" and "All I Think About" from his Bad Meets Evil duo with Royce da 5'9". There are other tunes from Em's Shady Records family including 50 Cent and Slaughterhouse. Other contributions come in from artists new and old like The Weeknd and Biggie.
  • Study: Eminem, Jay Z Have Larger Vocabulary Than Bob Dylan

Rappers are known to be wordy individuals. In the past, studies have been done on rap lyrics, but now a new study has been released by lyric site Musixmatch about which artists, across all genres, have the largest vocabularies. The study concluded four rappers lead that list -- Eminem, Jay Z, Tupac and Kanye West -- taking the title away from Bob Dylan.
  • 6 Hip-Hop Song Sans Verses for AC: Tupac, Eminem, Kanye West and More

Has your mother ever commented how much she enjoys the chorus to "See You Again" or "Monster," but that she really wishes Wiz Khalifa and Eminem (respectively) hadn't "ruined" the song with their raps? She's not the first. This week we found out that a revised version of the former song, featuring only Charlie Puth's hook, as well as new melodic verses in place of Khalifa's bars, has been on the rise at Adult Contemporary radio...occasionally known as "Adult Conservative." The only thing less likely to end up on AC than hip-hop is heavy metal, but as rappers frequently find themselves invited to guest on pop singles (such as Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" featuring Kendrick Lamar), labels sometimes edit the "offending" portion out, resulting in a safer, frequently less exciting product.
  • N.W.A. Reunion with Eminem Filling in For Eazy-E? Rumors Say 'Yes'

Chatter has persisted about a possible N.W.A. reunion, following the group's performance at the BET Experience in Los Angeles and the forthcoming film Straight Outta Compton, and now some voices are giving credence to the idea, suggesting that Eminem may tour with the icons.
  • 'See You Again' Gains AC Airplay; More Charlie Puth, No Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" may be done at the top of the Hot 100, but it's just now picking up steam on the Adult Contemporary charts. This may surprise conservative listeners everywhere, as hip-hop is about as welcome on AC radio as Iggy Azalea at the BET Awards. The trick? Getting soulful crooner Puth to release his own version of the song, minus Khalifa's headlining raps.
  • Eminem Talks Role on South Paw Soundtrack ; Plus Praises Kendrick Lamar & Lil Wayne

As we near closer to the release of film, Southpaw rapper Eminem talks about his role as Executive Producer on the soundtrack, as well as having a track on the project with Gwen Stefani. The rapper who once penned a letter to Tupac, sings the praises of fellow artists he admires like Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar. In a candid interview with Time, Eminem answers the question on if he has a project in the works, as well as what other artists he's currently listening to and more.
  • Tupac Shakur Center Displays Fan Letter from Young Eminem to Rapper's Mother

If you enjoyed the fan letter that a young Dave Grohl sent to Minor Threat's Ian MacKaye, then have we got one for you: a note sent from a young Eminem to the mother of Tupac Shakur. Granted, the emcee wasn't a child anymore (as was the case with Grohl), but it reportedly comes from a very early point in Eminem's career.
  • HipHopWired Drops 'Official' Rapper Emojis: Drake, Eminem, Future and More

The NBA was recently rocked by several emoji-related news stories, including DeAndre Jordan's waffling between the Clippers and the Mavericks, and DeMarcus Cousins labeling coach George Karl a "snake in the grass" with the digital art. It's somewhat humorous to consider near seven-foot men tweeting like teenage girls, but we digress. HipHopWired took it in an entirely different direction when it decided to make an "unofficially official" listing of hip-hop emojis for most of the genre's biggest stars.
  • Kendrick Lamar & Eminem Will Be on Dr. Dre's 'Straight Outta Compton' Soundtrack

Along with obvious tracks from N.W.A., Kendrick Lamar and Eminem will also feature on the soundtrack to Straight Outta Compton, the biopic about one of hip-hop's most influential supergroups. Stopping by San Diego Comic-Con, the film's director, F. Gary Gray, told MTV that the Dr. Dre-produced soundtrack is "insane."
  • The 6 RIAA Diamond Singles: Eminem, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and More

"Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons joined an elite company today, becoming only the sixth song in history to attain diamond status from the Recording Industry Association of America, meaning that it's moved the equivalent of 10 million units in sales, or 10-times platinum status. Wondering what the other five are? So were we, so we looked up the five hits and ranked them from least sales to most...but when you're talking about diamond status...there's really no such thing as "least sales." You may be surprised at how new most of these songs are.
  • 7 Longest Hip-Hop Streaks At No. 1: Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas, Wiz Khalifa

Yesterday we learned that Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth had matched hip-hop history by topping the Hot 100 for a 12th week with "See You Again," the pair's smash from the Furious 7 soundtrack. The genre has come a long way since Blondie landed the first rap atop the Hot 100 during 1980 (yeah, Blondie) but still: Only seven hip-hop songs have managed to spend at least 10 weeks on top of arguably the biggest chart in music. Join us as we count up from fewest weeks to most weeks at no. 1, and check back next Wednesday to see if Khalifa and co. manage to take history a step further.
  • Why Wiz Khalifa and 'See You Again' Won't Break Hot 100 Hip-Hop Record

Wiz Khalifa (and Charlie Puth) stand on the brink of history, having tied the streak for the longest period for any hip-hop song atop the Billboard Hot 100 with "See You Again," the showcase number from the Furious 7 soundtrack. Unfortunately, the likelihood that they break that record upon the release of next week's numbers.
