After airing his interview with Zane Lowe as part of Apple Music's Beats 1 Radio's big launch, Eminem also sat down with Stephen Colbert on local access network in Michigan for a hilarious interview. Colbert apparently got bored of not hosting a show, so he took over Only In Monroe, a program on local TV in Monroe, Michigan and hung out with the original guests and then on of the greatest rappers the state has ever produced, Eminem. This is the untamed Colbert that we knew from his show on Comedy Central, The Colbert Report and combined with the dry humor of Eminem, you have comedic gold.

    Billboard came up with a fun project for the July 4th holiday, assigning a music performer that best represents each of the 50 states. According to the site, final decisions were largely based on sales results from its charts, but a performer's deception to their home state via its lyrics also made a difference. The pair discussed a variety of topics, but stayed on topic with the new boxing movie Southpaw, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, which Eminem is deeply involved with, executive producing the whole thing and recording the theme song "Phenomenal."

    Beats 1 Radio will be launching next week and Apple Music has already announced a slew of celebrity musicians who will host weekly radio segments on the service, including Dr. Dre, Elton John, Drake, Pharrell Williams, St. Vincent, Disclosure, Josh Homme (of Queens of The Stone Age) and Jaden Smith. Former BBC DJ Zane Lowe will be among the more experienced MC's working on the service, along with Ebro Darden of New York's Hot 97 radio station.

The British rapper thinks he's got the record on lock as his song "Animal" managed to squeeze 1,771 words into roughly the same timespan as "Rap God" (just more than six minutes).
