• What So Not, George Maple Unveil 'Gemini' [LISTEN]

    Stop the presses -- What So Not have unveiled a brand new track "Gemini" with the help of their Future Classic running mate, Australian singer, songwriter George Maple. "Gemini" is the lead single from the duo's upcoming EP, which is the final chapter in the pair's time together as Flume departs from What So Not and leaves it in the capable hands of Chris Emoh Emerson, known professionally as Emoh Instead. The track is the perfect collaboration between What So Not and rising vocal talent as her serene voice floats across a piano build with soft drums gracefully cresendoes into a myriad of synths, snare rolls and fxs. Listen to the track below. No further word on the rest of the EP as of yet.

    Festivals normally are subject to all sorts of outside pressures like potential low ticket sales, trouble with the law or bad weather, but Michigan-based EDM festival, Electric Forest, is fighting a different battle with Mother Nature. Taking place on the Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan, the festival grounds are situated in a large wooded area, known as Sherwood Forest. According to a reddit poster, the forest is under attack by the Red Pine Beetle and organizers had contacted local foresters in attempt to quell the infestation, but Electric Forest wants fans to know their favorite forest is healthy for now.

Situated on the picturesque southern edge of Lake Tahoe in the skiing resort town of South Lake Tahoe, SnowGlobe is a three-day electronic music festival that runs during the final three days of December through to the ball drop into the New Year. But there were some brave souls who are willing to brave the cold at SnowGlobe Festival in the mountain resort town of South Lake Tahoe, California. Australian producer and DJ sensation Harley Straten, better known as Flume, one half of What So Not alongside Emoh Instead, performed the mainstage headlining set to ring in the New Year. SnowGlobe was there with their cameras to catch all the action, with Straten ushering in 2015 with his signature remix of Disclosure's "U & Me" under a dazzling display of fireworks and stage production that matched the vibe of the tune. Tucked away on the campus of Lake Tahoe Community College, right on the edge of Lake Tahoe and tucked in below the mountains, Snowglobe finds itself in a small paradise with skiing, music and picturesque natural beauty. The three-day festival took place from Dec. 29 to 31 and into the New Year. The lineup included names like the aforementioned Flume, Disclosure, Zedd, Skrillex, Phantogram, Porter Robinson live, Atmosphere, Justin Martin and many others.
