  • 50 Cent Compares Self To Tupac and Biggie, Announces 'Street King Immortal' Follow-Up

50 has always had a key aspect of the hip-hop game down: confidence. You'd be hard pressed to find many dudes in rap who exude the badassery that 50 does. This week, the Queens rapper took that bravado to a new level.
  • Label Splits Far More Intense Than Current Lil Wayne Drama: Dr. Dre and Death Row, The Game and G-Unit and More

Depending on how much faith you put in social media, it seems Lil Wayne is hellbent to get away from Cash Money Records due to the label allegedly refusing to release his Tha Carter V. Depending on how much faith you put in statements from management, it seems that Weezy won't be jumping ship. We're more inclined to believe the latter...after all, Cash Money kind of owns Wayne's personal label Young Money. Regardless, there have been uglier splits than this is the history of hip-hop. Here are a few of the most dramatic:

  • A Brief History of Law Enforcement and Hip-Hop Award Shows: T.I., Rick Ross, Jeezy and More Get Dusted Up

Many, many agencies have called out hip-hop performers for merely being storytellers and not the actual "gangstas" their music portends. Incidents and events at awards shows have backed up the stories they tell like perhaps no other platform can. Today marks the tenth anniversary of Yung Buck's legal troubles following the 2004 VIBE Awards (read more below). Check out a history of police intervention at awards shows below.

  • 50 Cent Loses $16 Million Lawsuit, Pushes Back Solo Album 'Street King Immortal' to Focus on G-Unit

When you are worth more than $100 million, you can afford to take a financial hit, but 50 Cent just absorbed a $16 million wallop from Sleek Audio. AllHipHop reports that the G-Unit star committed some pretty unethical snafus en route to getting saddled with a lawsuit loss that will surely hurt his pockets. When filing the suit earlier this year, Sleek not only claimed that Fitty not only stole its product design to launch his SMS Audio headphones, but that he also jacked their confidential client information. He is also delaying his next solo album to concentrate on G-Unit.
