Since New Jersey pop-punk band My Chemical Romance split back in 2013, lead singer Gerard Way has received far more media attention than his former bandmates, with his debut solo album Hesitant Aliens set to drop in September. However, guitarist Ray Toro has been quietly recording some demos as well, and today, he announced that he will be entering the studio next week via his new website raytoro.com. -
Gerard Way Confirms Solo Record Deal
My Chemical Romance may be done but Gerard Way isn't, as he confirmed Monday. The fact that the vocalist launched his own website for the first time (gerardway.com) might have been a good hint that Way was reentering the game, but one of the first posts on that site was definitive in stating that Way had signed a solo record deal.
