Jeanine Pirro of Fox News Claims 'Minority Communities' Need to Be More Sensitive Toward Police
Fox News often finds itself under fire for the stance that the network appears to take on hot-button issues, and right now nothing is more volatile than the tension between police and their handling of the black community. Last night, Jeanine Pirro decided to ask for viewer feedback on whether or not police should be more careful in the way they deal with incidences occurring in black communities and the response was quite unified. In between people stating the obvious — that if you are not breaking the law then you are less likely to find yourself tangled in any sort of altercation — there was also the thinking that communities need to be more mindful of the police. Pirro backed up that notion and, interestingly enough, it Is a sentiment that even New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has echoed. Basically, the thinking is that there is a rift, and in order to fix it both sides need to take steps toward meeting in the middle. He also admitted last week, shortly after it was announced that NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo would not be indicted in the chokehold death of Eric Garner, that his own biracial son has been directed on how to carry himself if he should be stopped by a police officer. -
'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Trying to Force Husband Into Rehab to Delay Her Prison Time
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it sounds like Teresa Giudice is willing to do anything to postpone her 15-month jail stay. The star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" has admitted that since being sentenced that her husband, Joe Giudice, has a drinking problem. In fact, his defense team tried to use his addiction to try and sway the judge toward sending him to rehab rather than jail for his string of financial crimes. That did not work, but now Teresa has found a way for her husband's battle with booze to actually help her. According to a report by Radar Online, Teresa is supposedly pushing hard for Joe to check himself into a rehab facility ahead of her Jan. 5 surrender date. Apparently, she is hoping that if Joe were to go to rehab, then her attorney could petition the court to change her surrender date. The judge in this case has said she does not want the Giudices's four daughters to be left at home without a parent, so she probably would be willing to change Teresa's date if her husband were to decide to get help. -
Amanda Bynes Bought Cartier for Complete Strangers, Family Awarded Conservatorship Again
Yesterday we told you there was a chance that Amanda Bynes's parents would not be attempting to gain a conservatorship over their daughter's assets because they did not want to make things even worse than they already are. It has been more than two weeks since Bynes was basically tricked onto a plane surrounded by people who would eventually deliver her safely to an inpatient psychiatric facility and the former actress is still furious. Well, yesterday her parents decided to protect her assets and did in another conservatorship over Bynes — buying Cartier jewelry for complete strangers did not help matters. -
Amanda Bynes Psychiatric Hold Has Been Extended as She Is Deemed 'Too Ill' to Care for Herself
Amanda Bynes was almost a free woman yesterday after being held on an involuntary commitment for the last 16 days. Instead of allowing Bynes to leave, her doctors instead secured a 30-day extension to that commitment from a judge familiar with the case. Doctors apparently were able to prove that Bynes is "very ill" and unable to appropriately care for herself in the real world, something that easily led to an extension of her facility stay.
