  • Comics and Music: Eminem, Prince, KISS and More Make Guest Appearances with Superman, The Punisher and Others

Run The Jewels gets the honor of having its logo and album art inspire two covers for new issues of 'Howard The Duck' and 'Deadpool.' A few performers—including Eminem, Prince and KISS— have done even better than that, starring as heroes in their own narratives, or helping out established superheroes.
  • Nikki Sixx Would Decline Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction If Mötley Crüe Ever Gets a Nod

Mötley Crüe is one of the many hard rock acts to be passed over for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in recent years. Along with acts like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and Slayer, Mötley Crüe, which has been eligible since 2006, have yet to receive the honor. Bassist Nikki Sixx is so tired of waiting that if they do get the nod, he probably won't accept it.
  • Music Times 25 Best Songs of 2014: Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, Hozier, St. Vincent & More

2014 was the year of a thousand controversies: Taylor Swift pulled all of her music from Spotify, Sun Kil Moon started a feud with The War On Drugs, Jack White accused The Black Keys of ripping him off (again), and almost nobody went platinum. When you put all of that aside, however, what you're left with is a bunch of incredible songs, which is really what it's all about. Here are the 25 best songs from 2014, as determined by Music Times writers Ryan Book, Caitlin Carter, Joey DeGroot, Kyle Dowling, and Carolyn Menyes.
  • KISS Will Play 'Alive!' in Its Entirety During 2015's KISS Kruise, Live Album Includes 'Strutter' and 'Rock and Roll All Nite'

Passengers aboard the KISS Kruise this summer are in for a rock 'n' roll treat. The band recently announced that it will play its 1975 live classic "Alive!" in its entirety. • KISS Teams with J-Pop Stars Momoiro Clover Z for New Songs "Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina" and "Samurai Son"

Gene Simmons might think rock is dead but he's got a master plan for making it cool again: Perform singles with J-Pop acts and make it huge in another part of the world. Hence the forthcoming single "Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina," featuring idol act Momoiro Clover Z, which will be available for download on January 28. Whose idea it actually was isn't clear but the song is apparently written by KISS frontman Paul Stanley.
  • Paul Stanley's Unaired Folgers Coffee Commercial Surfaces, KISS Frontman Sings Sans Makeup [WATCH]

Remember that time when KISS frontman Paul Stanley was the face of Folgers Coffee (sans makeup)? It's okay if you don't because no one does. The singer appeared in a TV spot back in 2000, but it never aired. After watching the commercial, which recently surfaced on the Internet, it's easy to see why it never saw the light of day.
  • KISS’ Paul Stanley Calls Led Zeppelin Debut a ‘Disaster,’ but ‘Brilliant’

The knock on this generation's music is usually technology-based. Contemporary artists and producers have the ability to program perfect songs, and they do. But that philosophy is not very "rock n' roll," and it's incited many a geezer-y diatribe this year.
  • Ringo Starr, Green Day, Lou Reed to Join Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2015 includes a bluesman, a Beatle and a chick who loves rock 'n' roll. • The Most Head-Turning Musician Quotes of 2014: Gene Simmons, Lorde, Eminem and More Make Marks on Twitter, Elsewhere

Musicians, like every other branch of celebrity, are bound to say head-turning things every once in a while. This year was no exception. Check out these eight eye-catching lines and the (generally) bad blood that preceded them.
  • KISS' Paul Stanley Talks Dave Grohl, 'Sonic Highways' Appearance

With Foo Fighters' "Sonic Highways" still making its way through an eight-week HBO journey, the praise for Dave Grohl from his co-stars is far from over. This week, KISS' Paul Stanley took his turn gushing to "Rolling Stone."
  • Paul Stanley: KISS Was 'Screwed Over' at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Gene Simmons Had Fun Though [WATCH]

Although Gene Simmons was glad to be a part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, KISS frontman Paul Stanley was a little less enthused. The singer took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the appearance, for which they played "Rock and Roll All Nite," but offered no specific reason why. It sounds like there was some sort of miscommunication between the band's camp and an executive in charge of the parade.
