One of the biggest teen stars in the world, Lorde is about as recognizable as any major musician worldwide. At 18, however, she is barely out of high school and still in the prime of her youth. With that youth comes some odd tendencies that one might expect from a teenager regardless of whether or not they are in the spotlight 24/7. In an interview with "Stella" — the British newspaper "The Telegraph's" weekly edition — the "Royals" star reveals that she likes to go sifting through other people's trash for useful items. The interview also goes on to discuss "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and her first time in contact with Jennifer Lawrence, who on the set "totally fanned out" when she saw Lorde. She also discusses how she handles her image as a teenage girl pop star and why she eschews the red carpet, but the most interesting caveat is how she takes part in a New Zealand recycling/reuse initiative where each year everyone clears out old junk they are no longer using, like cabinets, cloths, TVs, etc., and puts them out on the street for others to take. It is then shipped off to a landfill, but before that people go through other people's trash and potentially find their own treasures. One of those individuals trawling the trash is Lorde. Lorde describes her passion for going out on the hunt: "See, I'm boring because my favorite thing to do is trawl the inorganics. Do you have inorganics here?" -

Lorde Performs 'Yellow Flicker Beat,' Discusses 'Hunger Games' Soundtrack on 'Tonight Show' [WATCH]
Last night, in support of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," New Zealand's biggest music star Lorde went onto "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" to discuss the project, perform her main contribution to the album, "Yellow Flicker Beat" and discuss how she was Taylor Swift's manager for a day. The "Royals" star gave an inspired performance, highlighted by her jarring stage movements. She then sat down with Fallon to cheerily discuss the project and note how difficult it was to make. She shares the story of how she became Taylor Swift's manager for a day at the Grammys and shows off her "There is someone famous" face. Lorde also discusses the recording and release of "Royals," telling the story of how she stuck to her convictions and released the track despite the meddling of a label, via "Consequence of Sound." The "Royals" star was given the incredibly daunting task of curating the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" soundtrack earlier this year and managed to assemble an all-star cast to put together a group of songs that captured the essence of the film. -

Lorde Says Nicki Minaj Almost Contributed to 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' Soundtrack
Lorde's highly anticipated soundtrack for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" was released earlier this week to much excitement. With the film premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, Nov. 21, the New Zealand songstress can take some time to look back on the whole process, like she did in a recent interview with "The FADER." Although the album features a slew of big names, Lorde did not get every artist she wanted ... like Nicki Minaj. "When I first approached the project, I thought I would chose 15 artists and they'd be the 15 artists I was with three months later," she said. "But obviously, it evolved like crazy." According to Lorde, whatever Minaj was going to do for the album was going to be "amazing," but the "Anaconda" singer was too busy with her next album, "The Pink Print," to contribute. But the "Royals" singer was nothing but supportive. "... I'm happy we're going to get a new Nicki Minaj album to listen to at the gym for six months," she added. -
Lorde Is Still Friends With Diplo, But Isn't OK With Comments Toward Taylor Swift

Pusha T Shares Bizarre Kanye West-Produced Track "Lunch Money" [LISTEN]
Rapper Pusha T has shared a new track titled “Lunch Money,” featuring production by Kanye West, which you can check out below. Though Pusha’s verses are totally focused and intense, the real story here is how absolutely insane Kanye’s production is, a psychedelic stew of bubbling synths and unexpected beat changes that come off like a smoother yet more surreal version of Yeezus. If this is any indication as to what Kanye’s next album sounds like, he’s got another masterpiece on his hands. -
Lorde, Diplo End Taylor Swift Beef on Twitter: Pair Appear to Be Buddies Again
It looks like the feud between Diplo and Lorde is over. After the two exchanged some words on Twitter regarding Taylor Swift, they seem to have squashed the silly beef. Diplo recently tweeted at Lorde to see if she wanted to attend "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" premiere with him. The "Royals" singer pleasantly declined. He tweeted yesterday, Nov. 17, "@lordemusic are u going to this movie premier w me tonight or what?," to which Lorde replied, "@diplo i'm not in la :( but have fun (and take a stress ball it's so intense!!)" The EDM star started the mini feud a few days ago after suggesting he create a Kickstarter campaign to get Taylor Swift a booty. The "Shake If Off" singer's pal did not like that too much. -
