  • Twitter Reacts to Bill Belichick's Black Eye with Memes & More [PHOTOS]

Bill Belichick, the head coach of the defending Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots, showed up to a press conference with a black eye, without any explanation. Considering how tight-lipped the coach is to the media, especially after the 2015 NFL scandal that we called "DeflateGate," Belichick did not talk about his eye injury. That doesn't mean that Twitter users wouldn't take comical guesses! As part of a hashtag competition for The Rich Eisen Show, we got to see some funny memes and more about the mysterious black eye.
  • Tom Brady Writes Open Letter on the Impact of Deflategate

Tom Brady is looking to start off the new football season on a clean slate. Before making his way back on the field, the New England Patriots quarterback thought it would be best to air out his feelings and make peace with the infamous "Deflategate" scandal. On Friday (Sept. 4), Brady took to his personal Facebook account to speak openly about how the incident has affected his career and his fans.
  • Deflategate: Tom Brady Plans to Appeal Four Game Suspension

The start of the New England Patriot's season defending their super bowl title will commence without their star quarterback, Tom Brady, who was suspended for the first four games. On Monday, the NFL announced that brady will be suspended without pay for violating NFL policy during "deflategate."
  • Seahawks May Have Made One of the Worst Plays in History to Lose Game; Ratings Soared

What on earth was Peter Carroll thinking last night when, instead of putting faith in arguably the best running back in football right now, Marshawn Lynch, he instructed that the Seattle Seahawks instead pass the ball. That intercepted pass, just one yard away from winning Super Bowl XLIX, will go down in history as one of the worst plays ever. At least Carroll has owned that the play call was entirely his idea, so ultimately he is the one responsible for handing the New England Patriots their fourth Super Bowl victory under coach Bill Belichick. But overall, the ratings soared.
  • Seattle vs. New England: Spotify Compares and Contrasts Music Listening in Super Bowl Competitiors' Hometowns

Music Times made an attempt several weeks ago to predict the winner of the Super Bowl based on quality of albums coming out of the regions represented in the AFC and NFC Championship Games. So far so good: Seattle is facing New England, as we predicted, but will the Seahawks triumph? Who knows? Not Spotify. The music streaming service did use its numbers-tracking technology to create two playlists of songs representing the performers that listeners in the respective regions listen in far greater numbers than their foes on the opposite coast.
  • Bill Belichick Insists There is No Evidence That Patriots Broke Any Rules in Deflategate

Just one week before The New England Patriots will take the field for Super Bowl XLIX, they find themselves still tangled in a scandal that no one could have predicted -- Deflategate. Did they purposely use under-inflated balls while playing against the Indianapolis Colts last week? Bill Belichick hosted a press conference to defend his team and present what a week of an internal investigation has unearthed. All the while, Belichick insisted that he is now positive that his team did absolutely nothing wrong.
  • AC/DC's "Big Balls" Rewritten as Parody for Patriots's #DeflateGate [LISTEN]

In light of the recent #DeflateGate scandal, NFL fans have been using the opportunity to make as many ball puns as possible. The latest comes in the form of a parody of the AC/DC tune "Big Balls," which references New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, coach Bill Belichick and tight end Rob Gronkowski. The new tune, posted by Seattle's Sports Radio KJR, pokes fun at the allegations that the team used deflated footballs during last week's AFC Championship Game, Ultimate Classic Rock notes.
  • New England Patriots' #DeflateGate Burned by Bill Nye, 'SNL'

The New England Patriots have seen their fair share of controversy over the years, but nothing has ever affected their Super Bowl preparation like #DeflateGate. The purported scandal has taken over sports news ever since the Pats were accused of purposely deflating footballs during the AFC Championship Game last Sunday, Jan. 18. So on Saturday, Jan. 24, Bill Nye and "Saturday Night Live" burned the team.
  • NFL Investigating NE Patriots for Another Cheating Scandal

Mere hours after the New England Patriots celebrated their dominant 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game, coach Bill Belichick and his team face another cheating scandal. The regime known for #Spygate after illegally taping St. Louis Rams practices prior to the 2001 Super Bowl is now facing heat for #Deflategate. Allow us to explain: The NFL mandates that game-used footballs must be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 pounds per square inch and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces. When the weather is poor — as it was on Sunday night, Jan. 18 — teams might be tempted to deflate the footballs they use to make them easier to throw and catch. Apparently, the Patriots were accused of doing so during the championship game, and the league is now officially investigating.
