• 10 Imagined Fragrances By Musicians: Prince, David Bowie, And More

One Direction's new fragrance "You & I" will be released this summer. Boybands have it pretty easy when it comes to trying to sell their fragrance. I mean, what teenybopper wouldn't want to smell like Harry Styles' dreamgirl? Musicians from other genres with older fanbases, however, don't have the luxury of crazed tweens and would probably have a hard time selling more than a few bottles. With that in mind, we decided to compile a list of musicians we'd like to see fragrances from and what those fragrances might smell like.
  • 8 Songs That Were Last Minute Additions To Classic Albums

There's no way of knowing how many classic songs we'll never get to hear. Maybe the writers don't think they're good enough to release, or maybe they never received the right publicity. These eight songs came very close to never being heard, and were only included on their albums at the last minute.
  • Seven Great Albums Recorded by One Person

Typically, when an artist puts out a “solo” album, they usually just sing and play one instrument (if that) while every other part is filled out by their band members or session musicians. While there’s nothing wrong with making an album that way, there are other artists who insist on controlling every aspect of their albums, even if it means playing each and every instrument on their own. Here are seven great albums that were created almost entirely by a single person.
  • Prince Won't Be at Glastonbury...or So They Claim

There has been little doubt in everyone's mind that Prince would end up being one of the headliners at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Everyone except the performer and organizers that is. Emily Eavis, the daughter of festival founder Michael Eavis, made it clear to BBC 6Music that the purple one would not be performing come June.
  • Glastonbury Rumors: Prince Reported to be Final Headliner

It's festival season and you're damn right we're hypothesizing who'll be headlining various festivals, even it they're overseas and impossible for us to attend. Two of the headliners for this year's Glastonbury festival have already been announced, but London newspaper The Mirror reported this weekend that Prince will be the final headlining performer, at least according to anonymous sources.
  • Prince Sues 22 Fans $1 Million Each for Uploading Bootleg Concert Audio

We've featured several stories during the last couple weeks regarding how excellent live concert recordings are, from the 15,000 hours of live audio featured on Jerry Garcia's website to Bruce Springsteen's plans to allow fans to download live concerts less than 48 hours after attending. This would be a good time, however, to remind you that recording live shows without express permission from the performer can land you in deep with the law. For example, Prince is suing 22 individuals who posted audio of his shows online...for $1 million each.
  • Saturday Night Fever: Old and New Party Mix

When New Year's rolls around it's a time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. With that in mind, this week's Saturday Night Fever playlist highlights some of the most iconic musicians and features songs from their past, even decades ago, and songs that they released this year.
  • Prince 'V' Magazine Cover: The Purple One Reveals Depths Of His Technology Aversion In Cover Story

Prince is on the cover of V Magazine looking absolutely ageless. Seriously, he doesn't change (he might even qualify for the same club of Time Wizards that Pharrell Williams belongs to). Keeping with the theme of never changing, Prince refused to be recorded for the profile inside the magazine. Prince is notoriously protective of the sound of his own voice and its virtually impossible to find Prince music through typical internet channels.
