  • Taylor Swift First Artist to be Number One on Billboard's Artist 100 List for 10 Consecutive Weeks

Taylor Swift is the first artist to be on top of the Billboard Artist 100 list for 10 weeks straight. The chart, which was introduced in July, tracks data from other Billboard lists like the Hot 100, Top Albums Sales and Social 50, all of which Swift has dominated with her new release, '1989.' Her record will be a tough one to break considering Sam Smith only topped it for three weeks straight and Ariana Grande only clocked in two.
  • Taylor Swift Continues Reign on 'Billboard' 200 with '1989'; Nicki Minaj's 'Pinkprint' Hits No. 2

Only one other woman has them beat with 46: Whitney Houston. The Beatles are still in first for all artists with 132 weeks at No. 1. Pentatonix has the No. 3 spot with "That's Christmas to Me." Minaj was able to crack the top 10 recently, and D'Angelo's new "Black Messiah" hit No. 5. "The Pinkprint" did not perform as well as the artist's previous effort "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded." The former sold 244,000 in its first week while the latter hit 253,000 — it also debuted at No. 1.

The singer takes on the usual standards like "White Christmas," "Silent Night" and "Baby It's Cold Outside," but her shining moment comes closer to the end of the album. Menzel decided to include a breathtaking version of Joni Mitchell's Christmas-themed classic "River." Her performance of the tune on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" blew viewers away. Yes, we know you can sing, Idina. We have all heard "Let It Go" a million times, but this performance is devastatingly beautiful. Menzel lends her Broadway pipes and pop sensibilities to Mitchell's tune and lets the songwriter's words do the rest. "I wish I had a river so long / I would teach my feet to fly / Oh, I wish I had a river I could skate away on / I made my baby say goodbye," she sings in the video below. Check it out. First tabbed by Disclosure to sing on their hit single "Latch" in 2012, the 23-year-old started to build a fan base in 2013, before his single "Stay with Me" was released earlier this year in April and has since gone four times platinum and stayed near the top of the charts for the better part of the year. He was nominated for six Grammys: two for "In the Lonely Hour" for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album and three for "Stay with Me," which garnered nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. He was also nominated for Best New Artist.
