• Fresh Island Festival '15 Lineup Phase 1: Joey Bada$$, Migos, Tinashe, Danny Brown Headlining

    January is the season for festival lineup announcements and Fresh Island Festival in Croatia — where else? — is here to share its. Normally when one thinks about beach parties and festivals, DJs spinning downtempo house music until the early morning comes to mind, like the just-completed BPM Festival in Mexico. But Fresh Island is flipping that idea on its head with a hip-hop-centered festival with a splash of EDM-tinged trap music in what it claims is "Europe's No. 1 hip-hop beach festival." FIF released the first phase of acts in a newsletter for who will be joining the festival this summer, and the headliners include Danny Brown, Migos, Joey Bada$$ and Tinashe.

    Kid Ink is probably best known to the the general public for last year's "Show Me" single featuring Chris Brown from 'My Own Lane.' Ink is getting ready to release his third LP, 'Full Speed,' later this month and the rapper was able to pull some more strings to get Brown, Usher and Trey Songz to contribute. He is now talking about the new effort.

    To close out 2014, Los Angeles rapper Kid Ink has shared the music video for his song "Hello World," which you can check out below. The Born Original-directed video was shot during Ink's 2014 world tour in support of his most recent album My Own Lane, and is mostly comprised of shots of European cities such as Moscow and Paris, though by the video's end, Ink is back in the United States, rapping in the middle of Times Square in New York City.

    Los Angeles rapper Kid Ink has shared a new track titled "Ready 4 War," which you can check out below. The track features some anthemic, EDM-inspired production from Kane Beatz and J Mike, and when coupled with Ink's half sung/half rapped chorus hook, the whole thing sounds like it could have been included on Kanye West's arena-sized Graduation album. According to the track's Soundcloud page, this song was actually recorded a few years ago, not long after he signed his record deal. "Still my s**t tho!," he writes.

    Iggy Azalea will hit the road in 2015 on her The Great Escape tour, which will kick off in California April 14 and conclude in Texas May 24. Nick Jonas, Tinashe and DJ Wizz Kidd will support the Australian rapper on the trek. Azalea will tour in support of her April release "The New Classic," "Consequence of Sound" reports. The rapper reissued her album under the name "Reclassified" in November. She said that "The Great Escape" name might have something to do with her follow-up.
