  • Meghan Trainor and "All About That Bass" Once Again Top Downloads Charts as Taylor Swift Drops Off in Advance of '1989'

Your correspondent was perhaps as wrong as he's ever been during last week's summary of the Digital Downloads charts. Taylor Swift had taken the top two spots on the chart and we predicted that this week might find her with the top three spots, thanks to new release "Welcome To New York." So what happened?
  • Taylor Swift Matches Herself with Two Songs atop Digital Downloads Chart: "Out of The Woods" and "Shake It Off" Take Top Spots

Country music may have put two performers on top of the Billboard 200 this week but unfortunately it can't claim the same for the Digital Downloads charts, as Taylor Swift has "officially" switched over to pop. However she's certainly brought her sales tendencies with her.
  • Meghan Trainor 'All About That Bass' Stays Secure at No. 1, Jimmy Fallon & wil.i.am 'Ew' Reaches Hot 100

It's been over a month and for all intents and purposes, the United States is still "All About That Bass" and all about female artists. Yes, for yet another week, rookie pop star Meghan Trainor leads a lady-filled top five of the Hot 100, though Jimmy Fallon and will.i.am's comedy hit "Ew!" has cracked the top of the charts.
  • Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor Swap Top Spot on Digital Downloads Chart Again; Probably A Moot Point When "Out Of The Woods" Numbers Arrive

Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor switched places on the Digital Downloads chart again but it'll be a moot point when Swift's Out of The Woods" numbers come in.
  • Meghan Trainor 'All About That Bass', Women in General Rule the Hot 100: Maroon 5 'Animals' Cracks Top 10

Let's hear it for the ladies! For the fifth week in a row, women are absolutely dominating the Billboard Hot 100. Led by Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass," female artists make up the top five spots in the country for the fifth week in a row, shattering the previous record (and maybe the glass ceiling, just a bit).
  • VH1's 'You Oughta Know' Concert: Sam Smith, Aloe Blacc, Bleachers and Other Acts You'e Already Heard Of

Eleven music groups will perform at this year's VH! You Oughta Know show on November 13...and you've probably heard of all of them. We count down from the acts that need the most exposure to those that need it the least.
  • One Direction and Carrie Underwood Debut New Singles to Challenge Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift on Digital Downloads Chart

We've been asking for it and we've finally gotten it...maybe: a shakeup on the Billboard Digital Downloads chart.
  • Sam Smith, Bleachers, Chvrches, And More To Perform At VH1 'You Oughta Know Live In Concert' [LINEUP]

VH1 has chosen the 2014 class of You Oughta Know artists and will bring them together for an epic festival-style show on Nov. 13 at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The second annual You Oughta Know Live in Concert will feature two hours of performances from A Great Big World, Aloe Blacc, American Authors, Bleachers, CHVURCHES, Echosmith, KONGOS, Mary Lambert, Tove Lo, Vance Joy, and Sam Smith.
  • Meghan Trainor 'All About That Bass' Holds at No. 1 on Hot 100: Tove Lo 'Habits' and Clean Bandit 'Rather Be' Crack Top 10

It's yet another great week for new artists on the Billboard Hot 100. For the fourth week in a row, Meghan Trainor's single "All About That Bass" is resting comfortably in the No. 1 spot in the country. Meanwhile, rising acts Tove Lo and Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne have cracked the top 10 with their respective singles "Habits (Stay High)" and "Rather Be."
  • Meghan Trainor Returns for Third Reign At Top of Digital Downloads Chart with 'All About That Bass'...'Bang Bang' Stuck at No. 3 for Six Weeks

Meghan Trainor has risen to the top of the Digital Download charts once again, marking the third time that "All About That Bass" has held the top spot. The song experienced a drop in sales over the week but not enough to stop her from passing Taylor Swift and "Shake It Off." "Bass" sold 253,000 downloads while "Shake" sold 224,000. The pair of songs have switched places twice now but if sales keep dropping this may mark the end of "Shake"s run at the top.
  • Taylor Swift Retakes No. 1 Spot on Digital Downloads Chart from Meghan Trainor; Overall Sales Down

Once again, as album sales have risen over on the Billboard 200, digital downloads have taken a lumping and it's not for lack of new singles. We can only hope that people are listening to whole records again?
