Lorde's Second Studio Album

Last year, Lorde opened up about her Melodrama album and said that the compilation is all about love and heartbreak. The album was produced by Jack Antonoff, who Lorde was also recently linked to. Lorde also shared some of her thoughts about the songs on the album.

The singer said that the album is quite complex because heartbreak is complex. She also talked about "Liability" and said that it is an act of self-love. "The Louvre" is a swelling love song, and "Writer in the Dark" is described as a lovelorn ballad.

"Everyone has asked me with this record, 'Did you have to reckon with yourself to be able to share those personal stories?' And I'm like, 'Not really.' What else would you do? Make it vague? Make it not your darkest album?" said Lorde.

The other songs included in Melodrama are "Green Light," "Homemade Dynamite," "Hard Feelings/Loveless [Explicit]," "Sober II (Melodrama) [Explicit]," "Perfect Places [Explicit]," and "Liability (reprise)."
