In the second picture she shared with fans, Lorde is smiling from ear to ear. It seems that the singer could no longer wait for her Melodrama tour to begin.

Melodrama was released on June 16, 2017, and the album features the songs like "Green Light," "Sober [Explicit]," "Homemade Dynamite," "The Louvre," "Liability," "Writer in the Dark," "Supercut," and more.

Lorde Talks About Her Second Studio Album

Prior to the release of Melodrama, Lorde admitted that the album was not easy to make. Melodrama was produced by Jack Antonoff.

"To have to do something else which felt just as idiosyncratic without retreading old ground was a handful. Every single drop of blood that went into this record was so considered," said Lorde.

Lorde also explained why she loves making pop music, and it has nothing to do with the amount of money she can earn from it. She said she records pop songs because she is obsessed with the genre.

"Part of me feels like everything I do from now on, if it's not as big as 'Royals,' some people will perceive it as a failure. But for me, I'm going to spend my life worshipping the form. Sometimes that will just mean that it comes on at a party and everyone runs to the dance floor," explained Lorde.

Lorde's Albums, Songs

The New Zealand native started her career in music in 2012. A year later, she released two EPs, namely Tennis Court and The Love Club. In the same year, she released her first studio album Pure Heroine. Some of the songs included in Pure Heroine are "Royals," "Tennis Court," "Team," "Glory and Gore," "Buzzcut Season," "400 Lux," "Ribs," "A World Alone," and more.

Lorde also made headlines recently after she was linked to Lena Dunham's ex-boyfriend. However, the singer clarified that she and Antonoff are just friends. During a recent interview, the singer said that he thinks Antonoff is awesome, but they are not dating.
