According to Justin Timberlake, he composed "100 songs" for his next album, "Everything I Thought It Was." Was there anything about Britney Spears here?
The singer revealed that he reduced the number of songs on his upcoming album from 100 to just 18 in a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1. "I worked for a long time on this album and I ended up with 100 songs," Justin, 42, told Zane, via Billboard.
"So narrowing them down to 18 was a thing, and then, yeah, I'm really excited about this album. I think every artist probably says this, but it is my best work." "I think there are moments that are incredibly honest, but also, there's a lot of f**king fun on this album," the pop singer added.
This will be Justin's first solo LP since he released Man of the Woods in 2018.
Meanwhile, "Selfish," Justin's most recent song, was released on Thursday.
On January 19, he shocked his audience by playing the new song live in Memphis.

People think "Selfish" is about Britney Spears though. Given that there are more songs to come, one can wonder if there are more about his ex.
Selfish includes some cryptic lyrics: "If they knew what I know They would never let you go."
Justin also sings: "Every time the phone rings, I hope that it's you on the other side I want to tell you everything, everything that's on mind."

This new song and music video follows suit - prompting fans to wonder if it is about him declaring how much he truly cared about Spears at the time.
The Toxic hitmaker revealed personal information about her relationship with Justin, with whom she dated from 1999 to 2002, back in October.
Allegations that they had cheated on one other during their romance were included in the book. Justin's smash song Cry Me A River famously hinted at Britney's infidelity after their breakup.
"Everything I Thought It Was" drops on 15 March.
