Chance the Rapper honors his Black Star Line Festival in Ghana by releasing a new song about it. The Chicago emcee, whose real name is Chancellor Bennett, will release his next album, Star Line Gallery, this spring.

The album will have themes of hope, community, support, and tenacity in the face of hardship. Bennett's first release after The Big Day in 2019 is Star Line Gallery, which stands for something bigger than himself.

During an interview with Julia Lepidi on her Detroit radio program The Julia Show in the previous year, the lyricist of "Cocoa Butter Kisses" disclosed the significance of his forthcoming album.

Bennett gave some background information to the audience, saying, "The namesake of the album is from the Black Starline Shipping Company, which started in the early 1900s and was a black-owned trade company that created not just economic opportunities for black people but also a connection and passenger ship so people could have real relations with other countries."

The newest song, "I Will Be Your," blends the history and present of African-American culture. Featuring phrases like "Where are we on the map?" They poured tears from heaven, but nevertheless, niggas clapped him. It's still occurring. I know a nigga in the field, and he's still trappin'.

"I Will Be Your" is a heartfelt song that borrows the 1981 R&B hit "Don't Stop Doin' What Cha Do" by Stephanie Mills. Bennett handles some serious subjects with tact and humor. Bennett's festival, which has taken place in Ghana and Jamaica and celebrates Black artists from Africa, the Caribbean, and America, is the inspiration behind the name of Star Line Gallery.

In honor of the tenth anniversary of his 2013 mixtape Acid Rap, the rapper went on tour last year. Bennett gained widespread recognition thanks to this project, which is regarded as a classic.

In addition to being a proud parent, growing up in Jamaica, and speaking out against child labor in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the "Are U Live" MC has contributed to the music of other musicians.

He released "The Highs and the Lows," a collaboration with Joey Bada$, in 2022, and the two played it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Together with Vic Mensa, Chance participated in the Black Star Line Festival in Accra, Ghana, last year. Erykah Badu, Dave Chappelle, T-Pain, Jeremih, Sarkodie, Tobe Nwigwe, Asakaa Boys, and M.anifest were among the performers that took the stage.
