In the latest triumph for Marc Anthony on Billboard's Tropical Airplay chart, his newest single, "Punta Cana," makes a resounding debut at the No. 1 spot on the chart dated February 3. This accomplishment adds yet another remarkable chapter to his illustrious career, extending his record for the most No. 1s in the chart's history.

"Punta Cana" storms into the top position with 4.6 million audience impressions earned in the U.S. during the tracking week of January 19-25, as reported by Luminate. This achievement secures Marc Anthony his unprecedented 36th No. 1 on the Tropical Airplay chart, a record he has held since 1996, just a year after the chart's launch. Victor Manuelle follows in second place with 29 No. 1s. Co-produced by Marc Anthony alongside Sergio George, the bachata was released on January 26 through Sony Music Latin, displacing another labelmate from the lead as Enrique Iglesias and Maria Becerra's "Así Es La Vida" drops to No. 2.

Remarkably, out of the 36 chart-toppers on Marc Anthony's Tropical Airplay account, "Punta Cana" becomes the third song to premiere at No. 1, following the six-week champion "Se Me Sigue Olvidando" (1995) and the nine-week ruler "Ahora Quien" (2004). Notably, only 16 songs overall have debuted at No. 1 on the chart. Furthermore, "Punta Cana" marks Marc Anthony's first No. 1 in two years (since "Mala Santa" ruled for one week in March 2022) and his 27th No. 1 without any accompanying acts.
