Last night (Sept. 10), Hüsker Dü fan and singer-songwriter Ryan Adams joined the group's frontman Bob Mould onstage for a few songs.

Mould, who was playing New York's Bowery Ballroom in support of his new release Beauty & Ruin, tore through Hüsker Dü classics like "I Apologize" (see below), "Celebrated Summer," "Something I Learned Today," and "New Day Rising" with Adams by his side, Brooklyn Vegan reports. Adams was in the area for an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman tonight (Sept. 11).

This is just the most recent collaboration between the pair, as Adams enlisted Mould's help for a crazy, hilarious promo for his self-titled, 14th studio effort, which dropped on Tuesday (Sept. 9). In the promo, which featured Gary Shandling, Jeff Garlin and Don Was, Adams' album was killing birds, and the action eventually led to a clip of the singer and Mould in the studio recording a fake version of the single "Gimme Something Good."

In 2011, Adams performed at a Bob Mould tribute concert with the likes of Dave Grohl, Spoon's Britt Daniel and Craig Finn.

Mould is currently in the middle of a lengthy tour that will wrap in November overseas. To see his complete schedule, click here. For Ryan Adams tour dates, see below.
