Hollywood Bowl 'Barbie The Movie: In Concert'

Variety reported the announcement of the Hollywood Bowl "Barbie The Movie: In Concert."

Lined up for Jul. 27, 2024, the concert will feature a live-to-film music experience from The Barbie Land Sinfonietta, a special presentation from executive producer and orchestrator Macy Schmidt's all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra.

The brief also noted that the concert will sell specialty limited-edition merchandise, and photo opportunities, among many others.

At the performance, Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" will be projected onto a giant LED screen above the orchestra as they perform alongside the film's award-winning score.

Tickets for the Hollywood Bowl "Barbie The Movie: In Concert" will be on sale starting May 7, 2024.

"Audiences of all ages flocked to theaters last summer to celebrate the joy of the Barbie movie together," Mattel Chief Financial Officer Josh Silverman said in a statement. "Now fans have the opportunity to further celebrate Barbie with an unforgettable live musical experience, led by an incredibly talented all-women orchestra."

Schmidt, on the other hand, is "honored" to be leading the "Barbie The Movie: In Concert."

"There's nothing quite like the energy of the Bowl, and to bring the world-class women musicians of the Barbie Land Sinfonietta to such an iconic venue feels like a perfect match," she told the publication.

Billie Eilish and FINNEAS recently won the coveted Grammy Award for Best Song Written For Visual Media at the 2024 Grammy Awards with "What Was I Made For?" which was presented at the 2024 Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony.

The song already won at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Variety's Hitmakers, Denver Film Critics Society, Georgia Film Critics Association, Hawaii Film Critics Society, Latino Entertainment Journalists Association, Music City Film Critics Association, North Dakota Film Society, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, and the Golden Globe Awards.

In 2022, Billie Eilish and FINNEAS won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "No Time To Die" for the film of the same name. Should they win this year again, they would be the youngest double Oscar winners. Billie was 21 and FINNEAS was 25 when they won the Oscar for "No Time To Die" in 2022, and they would have been 22 and 26 respectively, if they would win with "What Was I Made For?"
