Usher Narrowly Avoids Roller Skate Accident During Super Bowl Halftime Show: 'Good Recovery Spin Though!'

Usher made sure to keep everyone entertained during his Super Bowl Halftime show--from his outfit in the opening to the shirtless moment he had, and especially when he pulled out roller skates-even if it nearly cost him an injury.

During the R&B icon's performance, he had a series of outfits lined up and even an entire song that he performed with roller skates, which became the talk of the town over on the Internet.

"Usher just single-handedly brought back roller skates," one wrote of Usher's "OMG" performance with special guest, Will.i.am.

"Usher on roller skates? OMG..."

It was the roller skates for me," another added.

Usher Almost Falls Wearing Roller Skates

During his performance with Will.i.am, the "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" singer slid between the Black Eyed Peas founder's legs and almost fell over.

"The highlight was when he nearly stacked on his roller skates. Good recovery spin though," one remarked.

According to the Daily Mail UK, Usher also brought several other of his collaborators and pals onstage with him during his Super Bowl halftime show.

The singer sang "My Boo" with Alicia Keys, "Yeah!" with Ludacris and Lil Jon, and even brought out H.E.R. for a guitar solo.

Usher Stuns Super Bowl Halftime Show With Outfits

During his 15-minute set, Usher managed to pull together several different outfit changes.

He opened his performance with an all-white ensemble by Dolce & Gabbana.

He was wearing a bejeweled coat before he shed it to show off the sparkly white tank top beneath it--and then he eventually took that shirt off as well and rocked the Super Bowl stage shirtless.

During his performance of "Yeah!," Usher wore a sparkly blue and black fit, which was paired with a black cap and, of course, the roller skates.

"It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list," The singer said prior to his Super Bowl performance.

"I can't wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they've seen from me before."

Meanwhile, online, netizens could not help but comment about Usher's performance, comparing it to last year's performer Rihanna.

"It's been a while but it brought back memories of meatloaf for me. Was expecting something special, bit disappointed to be honest."

"They had a heavily pregnant Rihanna putting in WORK and had washed usher rolling around on roller skates."
