Addressing the incident that occurred during a special celebration for Dolly's 78th birthday at the Grand Ole Opry, the "Jolene" singer has finally broken her silence nearly a month later.

In an interview with ExtraTV, the country music sensation expressed her thoughts on the matter, highlighting the complexity of the situation.

Shedding light on Elle's recent struggles, the "I Will Always Love You" songstress acknowledged that Elle, 34, is truly an exceptional individual, offering understanding and compassion towards her actions.

"She just had a little too much to drink, so let's just forgive that and forget it and move on, 'cause she felt worse than anyone ever could," the 78-year-old veteran artist said.

As previously reported, the "Baby Outlaw" singermade quite the entrance when she grabbed the microphone and boldly exclaimed, "Hi, my name is Elle King. I'm f*****g hammered."

"I don't know the lyrics to this thing in this f*****g town. Don't tell Dolly 'cause it's her birthday," she continued with slurred speech, as seen in a viral TikTok video.

"I'm not even gonna f*****g lie, you bought tickets for this s**t? You ain't getting your money back."

After countless attempts, Elle finally conceded defeat in his endeavor to perform one of Dolly's iconic songs and instead decided to showcase his own vocal talents by singing one of his original compositions.

With a yearning to showcase her musical talent, the "Ex's and Oh's" hitmaker expressed her hesitation in performing another artist's song, however, confidently added, "I can barely play another person's song; let me see if I can play one of mine," just after the venue "shut the curtain on her," according to a Reddit user.

Despite the events that transpired at Dolly Parton's birthday celebration, Elle King has not yet made a public statement regarding her excessive intoxication.

In aftermath of her drunken state, the "Last Damn Night" singer decided to reschedule several of her upcoming concerts, which were originally slated for later in the year.

Meanwhile, in a response to a disgruntled fan's criticism of Elle King's "disastrous, drunken, and offensive performance" that supposedly marred the night, the Grand Ole Opry expressed their disappointment, highlighting the unfortunate fact that everyone in attendance had to endure such a spectacle.
