Rapper Common has been one of the most celebrated rapper musicians in Hollywood. Aside from having an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and three Grammys to his name, his dating history is stacked to.

Unbeknownst to many, Common has dated a lot of women in the past, but he has never married yet.

Kim Jones

Unbeknownst to many, Common had a child with Kim Jones, Omoye Assata Lynn. He was in a relationship with Common until 1998. They split after the kid turned one year old.

Erykah Badu

From 2000 to 2002, Common and R&B legend Erykah Badu dated. Years later, Common confessed that Badu was his "first love."

"When we split, I was 27 or 28. I was in a haze, just going through the motions. It was hard to eat," he told People Magazine, "It wasn't her fault, the relationship just didn't go forward."

Taraji P. Henson

Three years later, Common and actress Taraji P. Henson dated privately. Years after their relationship, Henson described her relationship with Common as her "last real long-term relationship," even her son, Marcell was "sad" when they broke up.

Serena Williams

Surprisingly, Common and Serena Williams dated for four years between 2007 to 2010. However, Haddish seemed to hide her relationship with the rapper from the media despite being spotted several times.

Common reflected on his relationship years after, saying: "Not every ex-girlfriend and I are still friends, but with some, I am. We got a great understanding, and I care about her as a person. It's not like every other person you talk to every other day, but you know, you still have that respect. You have love for them and want to see them do well."

Angela Rye

From 2017 to 2018, Common dated political analyst Angela Rye. Sadly, their relationship was short-lived.

Rye explained their dynamics in her podcast, saying: "We had been talking probably for two months about 'let's see where things go' because I'm leaning towards 'I want kids,' and he was leaning towards 'I don't know,' " she revealed, adding "And I think when somebody tells you they don't know, they don't really want that, they just don't want to hurt you."

Tiffany Haddish

Common and Haddish's relationship was one of the rapper's more public ones. Although they started platonic, their relationship progressed after several dates. Common described his relationship with the comedienne as the "most mature" he ever had. Sadly, their breakup wasn't actually mutual.

"It was more him saying, 'I think this relationship has run its course.' And I was like, 'Okay. Like you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. Okay?' " Haddish revealed to The Washington Post.

Jennifer Hudson

Common's current girlfriend is Jennifer Hudson. Despite numerous denials, Common and Jennifer Hudson seemingly confirmed everything in his appearance at "The Jennifer Hudson Show."
