Lady Gaga has taken a step back from making music to focus more on her acting career, and with how much she is earning from that, it is no surprise why.

According to reports, the "Stupid Love" hitmaker made $12 million for portraying Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming film, "Joker 2."

The musical sequel film has a reported budget of $200 million, a significant increase from the first film's $60 million. Phoenix is getting $20 million.

Fans were surprised that the singer slash actress was making less than her male co-star, "Women still not getting their deserved payments in 2024."

"She's the bigger star, and still got paid less?"

"She is LADY GAGA she's the main reason a lot of people will be seeing the movie in the first place she deserves more."

How Rich is Lady Gaga?

The "Just Dance" hitmaker has cemented herself as one of the biggest figures in both the music and film industries.

After her breakout role in "A Star Is Born," Gaga has been booking more serious roles in big films like 2021's "House of Gucci."

She earned $227.4 million from her "Monster Ball" tour, which spanned from 2009 to 2011. Even her Las Vegas residency gave Gaga a financial boost, she got $1 million from it.
