With her upcoming album, Camila Cabello might discuss her failed connection with her ex-boyfriend Shawn Mendes, giving their shippers a closure of some kind. What really happened between them?

According to Cabello, she herself felt confused.

The former member of Fifth Harmony mentioned in a recent interview with Puss Puss that one of the things she'll be dealing with in her new songs is a recent relationship.

The interview was released on February 21st.

"It's me sitting with this feeling of understanding that I feel really confused as a 26-year-old," Cabello said.

She continued, "I really felt I was in love with this person. Now I feel kind of lonely and small and weird, but at the same time, I'm an adult and I feel so strong in other areas of my life, but not this one."

"There's just the wrestling of those feelings without it being kind of neat or in a box. You can't really say that it's a sad song, you can't really pin it down," she added.

"It's just kind of me wrestling with these feelings and me kind of being really present on a particular feeling and exploring it," she further disclosed.

Camila told the magazine that she was feeling "chaotic and brave" at the moment and that she had recovered her "unhinged sparkle" after revealing her new blonde hair. The singer recently experienced two breakups.

After dating Austin Kevitch for eight months, Camila announced her breakup with him around this time last year. Subsequently, she resumed her romance with Shawn Mendes before to their alleged permanent separation. They concluded that trying again was probably a mistake.

After all, there was a reason why things ended between them the first time," an insider claimed at the time.

After working together on the popular song "Señorita" in 2019, Camila and Shawn announced their split in November 2021, following two years of dating.

However, a kiss was shared by the couple at Coachella 2023, as they attempted to reignite their romance throughout the years.

But alas, no reunion happened.

Instead, Cabello has most recently been connected to rapper Drake after the two were spotted hanging out in Turks and Caicos in December.
