Jennifer Lopez gets candid about one of her past relationships before her marriage to Ben Affleck.

Released on Tuesday, February 27, on Prime Video, Lopez's documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," explores her 20-year journey to self-love before her reunion with Affleck and their union afterward.

Aside from the positive things she experienced, Lopez also touches on the time she was in a "disrespectful" relationship.

Jennifer Lopez Reveals She Was Manhandled in the Past

Lopez's new documentary unfolds more details about domestic violence in a choreography of "Rebound," a track from her album, "This Is Me...Now."

The 54-year-old "Let's Get Loud" hitmaker expresses how glad she feels that the experience is behind them already.

"Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun," she says in her documentary, looking emotional as she recalls the incident. "I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I've definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavory things...rough...disrespectful."

One scene shows Lopez speaking with her producing partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, regarding the dramatic moment they had while filming the scene.

The "On The Floor" singer continues, "More than anything, it's really a vulnerable place to be in every day. That's why I go to work every day, and I'm like, 'What am I doing?'"

Goldsmith-Thomas, meanwhile, tells Lopez it is a personal journey that abused women will relate to.

Lopez dated several men before meeting Affleck in the 2000s and after their failed romance at that time. They went on to reunite in 2021 and tie the knot in 2022.

Jennifer Lopez Shares Consultation With a Therapist

In another part of the documentary, Lopez looks back at the time she consulted a therapist to ask for advice on what she should do if the abusive situation happens to her daughter.

"It was so clear. I'd tell her get the f--- out of here and never look back, but for me, it was so clouded and complicated," she continues. "It was like looking through fog."

Lopez has previously opened up about the abuse in her 2014 memoir, "True Love," saying she was "mentally, emotionally, verbally" abused. She also did not name her partner at the time.
