A new video showing Scott Swift's encounter with a paparazzo has emerged.

Reports claimed that Taylor Swift's father attacked a 51-year-old photographer who reportedly tried getting close to the singer. Australian police have since launched a probe to look into the incident, per AFP.

Did Scott Swift Assault the Photographer?

TMZ shared a new clip showing a different angle on the paparazzo incident involving Taylor's father.

The video in question captured Scott holding his daughter's hand as they walked in an Australian street toward an awaiting vehicle for them.

Since the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer had her upper body covered with the umbrella, the patriarch had to assist her and keep her safe. He went to the back of the vehicle where the other paparazzi waited, and things reportedly started then.

The new clip, however did not show what exactly happened. But Scott and other security guards were captured in the frame.

Police spokeswoman Alicia McCumstie told AFP that an investigation has since started after receiving a report about "a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf about 2:30 am, before leaving the location."

The photographer in question is Ben McDonald, who also captured photos of the "Midnight Rain" singer while on a superyacht in Sydney Harbour, claimed the "old man" confronted him and took it further after Swift left.

"He punched me in the chops," he told AFP. "It was a shock. That's never happened to me in 26 years. I didn't know who he was."

Taylor Swift's Representatives Respond to Allegations

While Scott already left Australia, the authorities said the inquiry would continue.

On the other hand, a representative of the singer issued a statement to Variety explaining that the incident happened after two people lunged toward Swift and threatened her staff member,

"Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water," the representative said.

However, McDonald dismissed the claims and told the Daily Mail, "This is the sort of b------- I might expect. Which female was that? The only one there was Taylor."
