KPOP star V surprised BTS fans with a new song, "FRI(END)S," a solo all-English track fans have requested for quite some time.

"The track, rooted in the pop-soul R&B genre, delivers relatable and witty romance through lyrics written entirely in English," reads BIGHIT Music's statement, Billboard reports.

While BTS never revealed how many songs they have recorded to keep their fans busy and not too lonely waiting for their hiatus to end in 2025, the members have continued to release music after song despite their mandatory.

"The single artwork accompanying the announcement reveals the song title and release date against a vivid pink background that hints at the song's sweet mood."

"FRI(END)S" will be released on Mar. 15 at 1 p.m. KST.

BTS V Returns With Solo Music

V was one of the last members of BTS to launch his solo music career; the KPOP star dropped his highly anticipated debut album, "Layover," stylized as "Layo(V)er," on Sept. 8, 2023.

According to Teen Vogue, the album boasts six songs in the tracklist: "Rainy Days," "Love Me Again," "Blue," "Slow Dancing," "For Us," and a piano version of "Slow Dancing."

V released several singles before the album, setting the tone for what would come. BIGHIT explained the different sound concepts from the album: "'Rainy Days' captures V's voice beautifully melding with the sound of rain and everyday white noises.

"'Blue' is an homage to old-school R&B with a modern twist in sound. 'Love Me Again' is a captivating R&B track that highlights V's low-pitched voice. 'For Us' is a pop R&B track that serves as an epilogue, stirring up deep emotions with V's vocals and unique lyrics."
