Ice Spice's shot to fame is something that many were so surprised to see in the past year. Ice Spice's potential has been edged to the max from an underground rapper in the Bronx to having a feature with Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj in one year!

The young female rapper is about to drop her debut studio album, "Y2K."

Ice Spice New Album 'Y2K'

According to an Instagram post, Ice Spice just finished recording her new album, "Y2K."

She simply wrote, "I finished recording Y2K, the album." She has already teased her upcoming album.

She revealed to "TODAY with Hoda and Jenna" why she named her album the way it is.

"I'm so excited," she gushed. "It's called 'Y2K', it'll be- it's almost finished, so I'm really excited."

Aside from this, she teased a powerful collaboration in one of her tracks on the album.

She teased then, "I have a crazy collaboration that just got locked in two days ago."

In another interview with Complex, Ice Spice again talked about it.

"It's almost complete. I'm really excited about that because I got a big bulk of it done. I just can't wait for my fans to hear the new music. There [are] some new songs on there that sound different from a lot of my other songs. I'm so excited about that," Ice Spice elaborated. "The next chapter, I would have to say Y2K is the name of the album because I was born in 2000."

Ice Spice on 'Princess Diana'

Speaking to Billboard recently, Ice Spice talked about the impact "Princess" Diana had on her career. The song was once a supercut from her debut mixtape, "Like...?," but it has since become a commercial success. (via HotNewHipHop)

"'Princess Diana' with Nicki [was my favorite hit of the year]," she confirmed. "Because I felt like 'Princess Diana' was already my best song on [Like...?]. But then it didn't chart or anything until Nicki got on it. I was just so happy to have both of those worlds where I felt like it was culturally a great song, but also it charted. And then I had my dream collab fulfilled at the same time."

Princess Diana has since been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. It peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, her highest charting single before "Karma" with Taylor Swift peaked at No. 2.
