Tensions are reportedly escalating on The Voice with the arrival of new mentors, Dan + Shay, who allegedly aim to challenge the reigning queen, Reba McEntire.
Following their appointment as successors to former coach Niall Horan, the duo of Dan + Shay made history by becoming the show's inaugural coaching tandem during the 14th episode of the 24h season of the show.
Upon first meeting the country duo, Reba warmly embraced them. However, a recent report suggests a change in her attitude.

During the blind auditions in the second episode of season 25, a significant moment occurred when Reba McEntire strategically used her one block of the season to prevent Dan + Shay from recruiting contestant Donny Van Slee to their team.The initial shot that sparked the unfolding drama in the latest season of the competition.
Following the incident, the frustration was palpable as Dan Smyers, 36, and Shay Mooney, 32, expressed their disappointment towards the Queen of Country.
"I mean, Reba blocked us, the new guys. How rude. I thought she was a nice lady," Shay said. "You started the battle. So, guess what? Buckle up, Reba. We're coming for you."
Without hesitation, the pair quickly sought retribution.
Just moments after McEntire had turned around in her chair to watch the next act, Karen Waldrup, she was blocked by the duo. "Vengeance is sweet!" Shay exclaimed with a gleeful grin.
Dan couldn't help but taunt, "Man, blocked the Queen of Country Music. Put that one on the résumé," as the "Does He Love" diva simmered with frustration in her seat.
