Taylor Swift's dad, Scott, dodged an assault charge filed against him by an Australian paparazzi photographer who claimed the singer's father punched him.

According to the Daily Mail UK, NSW Police confirmed that Scott is off the hook and that no further action will be taken regarding the incident that happened in the early hours of February. 27 at the ferry wharf in Neutral Bay.

The paparazzi, identified as Ben McDonald, claimed that Scott assaulted him for attempting to come closer to the "Cruel Summer" hitmaker as her entourage disembarked a luxury yacht.

McDonald shared his side of the story, noting that the assault caught him by surprise, "It was a shock ... There was no need for it, the security had it under control. [...] I'll leave it in the police's hands now."

Meanwhile, Swift's camp says otherwise: "Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water."

The reports alluded that Scott was simply protecting the "You Belong With Me" singer from the paparazzi.

Swift was in Australia for "The Eras Tour" concert; as per Page Six, she performed at three sold-out shows in Sydney, including three in Melbourne.

Nicole Kidman Files Restraining Order Against Same Paparazzi Photographer

The incident between Scott and McDonald left fans outraged, which sent them into full investigation mode.

Swifties discovered that the Australian photographer was linked to another high-profile celebrity in 2005.

According to Us Weekly, Nicole Kidman filed a restraining order against McDonald and another photographer, Jamie Fawcett, in 2005.

Reports noted an electronic listening device was found outside her home and linked to the pair.

Swifties were quick to point out that he had already had a previous run-in with another celebrity and accused him of initiating the assault.

The photographer insists, though, that Scott attacked him first, "She got off the boat, she walked towards security guards who were shoving umbrellas in our faces, and then he charged."

Audio clips of the incident surfaced, and Scott could be heard telling the photographer not to touch the umbrella, which Swift was hiding beneath.

It is unclear whether McDonald dismissed Scott's request, leading to the alleged altercation.
