Charli XCX set New York City aflame with her Boiler Room appearance earlier this year, filling social media with frantic fans posting who missed out on tickets. Now, Boiler Room has posted XCX's full set on YouTube for everyone to jam out and party along to.

XCX performed her Party Girl rave set alongside longtime collaborator a.g. Cook and fiancé George Daniel, who took to the decks with their own mighty prowess. Party Girl, a series of DJ sets, is the British pop star's latest venture in live music. Around 25,000 people signed up to attempt to get tickets to the hotly anticipated set, but the audience was capped at a mere four hundred.

One Boiler Room guest appearance caught the ecstatic audience by surprise: Julia Fox.

The New York City starlet, perhaps known best for her very public relationship with rapper Kanye West and role in the Safdie Brothers' film Uncut Gems, appeared with long blonde hair and bleached eyebrows in a showy, all black ensemble. She took to the stage with captivating energy, dancing and swaying to the roar of the crowd.

X user @alexsimpsxn posted a clip of Fox's performance, captioning the video, "julia fox performing her debut single down the drain during charli xcx's boiler room set...iconic."

Others replied to the post with equal enthusiasm. One user posted that they were "obsessedddd" while another declared that Fox "Ateeee."

"Down the Drain" shares its name with Fox's 2023 memoir, which became a New York Times bestseller. The lyrics are provocative, with Fox sticking a sonic middle finger towards sexist caricatures of women.

She repeats "I'm a bitch, I'm a girl, I'm a mother, I'm a whore/I'm a bitch, I'm a girl, I'm a woman, I'm a whore" over glitchy, bassy-heavy production. Deep synths run through "Down the Drain" as Fox's vocals transform her into a bonafide femme-bot. She transforms the derogatory, misogynist language into something powerful as she chants over the warbly beats.

Fox calls herself the "best lookin' drug that you'll ever use" and declares that if you go with her, you'll "never lose." She's entrancing and intoxicating on "Down the Drain."

This isn't the first time Fox has performed "Down the Drain." In 2023, she hosted a book talk at New York's Metrograph theater. She premiered "Down the Drain" at the event, singing the song above a backing track and a minimal production. With long red locks and a matching red dress, Fox belted the lyrics as fans bobbed their heads along.

As Fox's Boiler Room appearance came to a close, XCX instructed the crowd to "Make some f-ing noise right now!"

Fox has yet to announce when she will release "Down the Drain," but fans of the multi hyphenate are sure to be excited when the track drops. Charli XCX's upcoming album, brat, is set to arrive this summer.
