To her fans, Shakira's earliest songs, showcased her impressive vocals and yodeling prowess.

However, the musician recently admitted that she might have actually overdone her vocals, and cannot help but laugh about it in the present.

The Colombian singer recently appeared in an episode of Hot Ones by First We Feast, a series wherein host Sean Evans sits down with a celebrity guest to munch down spicy wings and answer questions.

The intensity of the hot sauces worsens along the way.

Shakira opened up about her yodeling when the host asked her if certain things made her "cringe or wince" whenever she listened to some of her previous songs, to which she confirmed that there were actually "so many things."

"I think I used to overdo the cries in my voice," she said before letting out a yodel and bursting into laughter.

"I think it was exaggerated... A little baroque. You know?... Too much Shakira," she added. (via People magazine)

Shakira's Voice Strengthened Through the Years

Elsewhere in the interview, Shakira revealed that her voice got "thicker" and "more rounded" through the years, and she thinks that it was a result of her pregnancy as she had two children with her ex-partner, Gerard Piqué.

"Also, my choices are more my chore. I have evolved as a woman, as a person, my intellect has evolved," she added.

However, there was a time when she felt that she sucked, but her voice kept changing through the years, and she considered it as an evolution of herself.

Today, the musician said she likes herself better than what she was like in the past.

Shakira Will Not Write Songs About Gerard Piqué Anymore

Shakira released a new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, or Women Don't Cry Anymore, which was also her first record in seven years.

One of the songs included in the tracklist was "Ùltima," a song about her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, but she clarified that this would be the last track she would ever write about him.

She told Zane Lowe during an interview that the song was a last-minute addition, and she even had to plead with her record label to add it to her album even though they were already in a time crunch.

After mixing and recording the song, the record label was surprised with the results. Sony's marketing head even started to cry because of how emotional the song was.
