Since its announcement at the Grammys, Taylor Swift's upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, has been the subject of endless shocks and questions. Swift herself has something to do with Swifties incessant speculations about the newest album.

Presently, Swifties are excitedly anticipating the album's April 19 release to see if the widely held belief that it is a breakup record about her ex Joe Alwyn turns out to be accurate.

However, fans lost it when the pop artist produced five playlists including her songs, one for each stage of mourning.

With this move, Taylor Swift has given fans her first substantial album promotion since the Grammy Awards were announced.

The playlist is  a set of curated Apple Music playlists labeled with TTPD songs and related phrases that aligned with five stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance.

This was especially true when they saw some of the tracks on the playlists.

The playlist contains 19 to 22 of her popular songs.

Swifties Heartbroken Over Grief Playlists

Some of these playlists, like the ones categorized under Anger, i.e., "Better Than Revenge" and "Bad Blood," are natural and understandable picks.

According to Cinema Blend, some of the choices by the star, are starting a revolution in the lives of some Swifties, many who used these songs to signify their love for their partners, as their wedding songs, as their theme songs, and many more.

In her TikTok with almost half a million views, TikToker Niya Esperanza stated that these playlists are "high key the biggest roast of Joe Alwyn on planet Earth" under the title "pray of Joe."

This is no longer surprising, because Swifties have been anticipating a roast Joe Alwn album in the coming week anyway, Swifties were shocked to their core with the placement of "Lover," which is undoubtedly one of her most romantic songs.

Since some of the pop star's most adoring songs are included on depressing playlists, @lavender.lit made the point that these playlists will ruin Swifties - especially those who used this as their main wedding music.

"Do you know how many weddings she just ruined with these playlists?" she asked.
