Jon Bon Jovi spoke candidly about his touring future after undergoing a vocal surgery.

In 2022, Bon Jovi underwent surgery to restore his voice's function after decades of performing. He battled COVID-19 prior to the operation and spent a long time recuperating.

Despite taking a break, the rocker admitted to feeling unsure of what the future would hold for him.

"Day to day, I'm working hard on it," he said, sharing his vocal therapy. "Nothing else matters until I work on getting better. It's up to God at this point. I've done everything I can do. I won't fake it.... the legacy matters too much."

He previously told Mix 104.1 Boston that his voice and condition would be the determining factors in his touring career. He reportedly aims to tour again in 2025, but it will still depend on his recovery.

In February, Bon Jovi appeared in a panel at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, where he explained his condition.

"One of my cords was literally atrophied. So my vocal cords, they're supposed to look parallel. So let's pretend one of them looks as thick as my thumb and the other one is as thick as a pinky. So the strong one was pushing the weak one aside. And I wasn't singing well. So my craft was being taken from me," he explained.

Fortunately, he reportedly found a surgeon who managed to perform a cutting-edge implant to build the cord again.

In a separate interview during the Thank you, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story docuseries Screening and Q+A event at Aero Theater on Wednesday, April 10, Bon Jovi disclosed his current singing abilities years after the vocal cord surgery.

"I'm well into the recovery. I'm more than capable of singing. It's just that for me, the bar is two and a half hours a night, four nights a week, before I say we're going to go and do any shows. So I'm well back on the road to recovery, not a day of it's easy. Every day is a struggle, but I'm more than capable of doing it again," he said, quipping, "I'm f------ Bon Jovi!"

In positive news, Bon Jovi was hailed the Person of the Year in February.
