Sam Hunt might be one of the most promising musicians in the country music, but he revealed in a recent interview that his wife isn't impressed by his music or career.

The musician, who is set to embark on a tour later this year, sat down for an interview in an episode of Taste of Country Nights, On Demand, where he got candid about his relationship with his wife, Hannah Lee.

During the conversation, the "Locked Up" hitmaker shared a controversial rule that he has at home, saying that his wife "forgives quickly" regardless of his wrongdoing, even referencing his DUI arrest and his infidelity.

"And I also have a rule -- that I'm not sleeping on the couch, if so... She's gonna have to shoot me before I don't sleep in my own bed," he said.

Later, he discussed that his wife isn't impressed with this music or even his successful career, but he doesn't care because that helps keep him humble.

"As men, we need somebody in our life to keep our feet on the ground," he added.

Hannah Lee filed for divorce in February 2023, but she called off the legal separation months later. It was around the same time when she gave birth to their first child.

Sam Hunt Looks Back at DUI Arrest

In the same interview, Sam Hunt also looked back at one of the most harrowing experiences of his life, his DUI arrest in 2019.

He mentioned in the podcast episode that it was "a wake-up call" for him, and he could reflect on his wrongdoings over time, adding that people learn from their mistakes.
