Nicki Minaj is gearing up to travel around the world for her ongoing Pink Friday 2 World Tour, which is why she needs her husband, Kenneth Petty, to take care of their young child. Fortunately, a judge approved Petty's request to join his wife on her upcoming shows.

According to legal documents obtained by Radar Online, a federal judge presiding over Petty's case has approved the rapper's husband to travel from April 17, 2024, to July 14, 2024.

This comes after Petty requested the judge allow him to join his wife on her shows so that he could take care of their son.

His lawyer said of the request, "Mr. Petty and Mrs. Petty believe Mr. Petty is necessary to accompany the family on the tour for various purposes, including childcare."

The couple will visit Canada, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Ireland, and Romania.

Kenneth Petty's Travel Approval Has Other Requirements

Although Petty has already been permitted to travel outside of the United States, he must keep his probation officer updated with his travel itinerary as needed.

Once his duties were over, he had to return to Los Angeles County and check in with his probation officer.

The recent update comes after the musician's husband was sentenced to three years probation in 2022 for failing to register as a sex offender after moving to California. Petty and Minaj got married in 2019.

The outlet noted that Petty was required to register as an offender due to a conviction in the 90s. At the time, he was accused of raping Jennifer Hough, but the charge was dropped to attempted rape.

In relation to the case, he was put behind bars for four years.
