There's a Britney Spears movie around the corner - if the reports are true.
The legendary pop star has reportedly in advanced negotiations to turn her best-selling autobiography into a hit film, and a female-only writing team has been hired to work on the screenplay.
The discussions are presently being led by Sony Pictures, and Britney's primary songwriters have been informed that their songs may be featured in the film version of The Woman in Me.
According to Mirror's insider, Britney's book was a ground-breaking best-seller that increased public awareness of conservatorships and the entertainment business.
Her songwriters have been informed that some of their songs would be featured once the film gets the go-ahead, and she is in advanced talks to make it a theatrical release.
The source explained, "Britney's book was a groundbreaking best-seller and raised the public's consciousness with regards to how the entertainment industry and conservatorships work. She's in advanced talks to turn it into a cinematic release and her songwriters have been informed that some of her songs will be used once it is greenlit. If necessary, the project could become a mini-series in the style of Genius: Aretha.
"Female writers are being approached to turn the book into a script because only a woman can understand the nuances that made Britney's role in her family, and position in pop culture, so complicated."
The adaption aims to provide viewers with more insight into the highs and lows of Britney's personal journey by delving deeper into it. "She's ready to tell all," the source continues, "because the next chapter of her life is about reclaiming her mind, body, and spirit."
Before being released from conservatorship, Britney was not included in any of the two previous documentaries on her life and the #FreeBritney movement.

On Friday, Britney Spears released two sultry dance videos in which she flaunted her perfect figure. The 42-year-old music sensation, who recently sent naked photos to the beach, shared the videos on Instagram, where she dared to look good in skimpy attire.
She showed off her dancing skills in her first post, wearing a blazing red crop top and stylish black short shorts. She accessorized the look with high-heeled boots.
Spears soon released another video in which she wore the same outfit but substituted a stylish white sleeved top for the red one.
"I put makeup on for the red top song !!! I have no makeup on here so don't judge me," she captioned the second post.
