Aside from his impressive vocals and unique sense of style, Post Malone is also known for his many tattoos. He has several inks throughout different parts of his body, including his face. Let's dive into some of his body art and its significance to his life.

According to People magazine, the rapper/country artist has been getting tattoos since 2015. His first ink came around when he released his first song, "White Iverson." Since then, the musician has constantly been getting a new design.

As of 2023, Post Malone has over 70 tattoos and it seems he's not stopping anytime soon.

The musician spoke with GQ in 2020, explaining why he decided to get a tattoo on his face, saying it came from a place of insecurity.

"I don't like how I look, so I'm going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, 'You look cool, kid,' and have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance," he said.

The singer has been making waves again recently, but this time, he covered up his tattoos for the music video of his Taylor Swift collaboration song "Fortnight."

Post Malone Tattoos Meaning

Aside from being an artist, Post Malone is also a full-time dad to his daughter. He paid tribute to his only child by getting a tattoo of her initials, "DDP." It was inked on the right side of his forehead, and the reason why he placed it there was to keep his daughter near him whenever they were apart.

Another noticeable tattoo on his face is the barbed wire design. He previously explained that he liked it because it looked cool, but he also shared his doubts, saying he'll regret it when he starts balding.

Although most of his tattoos are black and gray, he has a few colored ones, like the smiling skull with the colors of the Texas flag, which is one way he honors his upbringing.

His arm is also covered in ink, and one of the designs is the Playboy Bunny symbol, his first tattoo, which was inspired by Justin Bieber.

Another nod to his favorite artists is the tattoos featuring Nirvana and Kurt Cobain. He has a few song titles permanently written on his body, like "Nevermind" and "Whatever" on his palms.

Cobain's portrait and the "Stay Away" script were also inked on his arm.

Mark Wahlberg previously spoke to Post Malone to give him advice on getting his tattoos removed, saying it's extremely painful, but the singer told him that all of his body art has meaning and he will "keep them forever." (via Entertainment Tonight)
