Phil Collins' supporters have launched a massive move to get him into the next iteration of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has formally introduced its 2024 inductees "for music's highest honor."

Included among the nominees were Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne, A Tribe Called Quest. More were named ahead of the ceremony on October 19 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Although the 2024 induction is yet to play out, music fans already created petitions to have their favorite artists be included in the list for 2025.

#GetPhilVotedIn Aims to Push Phil Collins to the Top

On Facebook, a group with the name, "Phil Collins Should Be in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (as a solo artist)," has welcomed over 15,000 fans of the retired Genesis drummer in pursuit of getting him into the list.

The members write their petitions under the hashtag #getphilvotedin to strengthen Collins' potential standing in the next nomination and induction.

One of the members wrote, "Can you imagine if, next year, Phil is nominated for the RRHOF Fan Vote. Fans can vote every day from February through to mid-April. With this group having 15k members, if we all voted every day from start to finish Phil would undoubtedly top the poll. Let's get this done! #getphilvotedin."

"This morning, I found an email address to email the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in, which I have already emailed them to suggest to them to nominate Phil for the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Hopefully, emailing them will help!" another fan on the group said.

Collins has been out of the spotlight since announcing his retirement and final show during Genesis' The Last Domino? Tour at the O2 Arena in 2022.

He took a break in 2011 due to health problems before returning in 2015 and performing until retirement.

How Does Rock Hall Select the Nominees?

According to an NPR report, a 35-member committee creates the list before presenting it to the public. About 15 Hall of Fame nominees make the final cut after the committee considers their influence and contributions to the music industry.

Performers who have released their first recording 25 years before the nomination can be eligible.

Collins' band, Genesis, was inducted in 2010. He can also be nominated as a solo artist since he released his debut solo studio album, Face Value, in 1981 - over 40 years ago.
