Blake Shelton has revealed that he'll be entering new entertainment territory this week: the big screen.

The country star put his own spin on the track "Unknown Stuntman," which was originally performed by actor Lee Majors in The Fall Guy, a 1980s television series. Now, Shelton is taking on the iconic song for a new version of The Fall Guy--a movie.

The Fall Guy (2024), which enters theaters on May 3, stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Per IMDB, the movie follows a stuntman (Gosling) trying to find the "missing star of his ex-girlfriend's (Blunt) blockbuster film."

The official Instagram for The Fall Guy posted a series of clips from the film, scored by Shelton's cover of "Unknown Stuntman."

"Strap in 'cause it's going to be one helluva ride. #TheFallGuyMovie hits theaters Friday, featuring @blakeshelton's version of "Unknown Stuntman," reads the caption.

This new rendition of the song leans a bit twangier than the original country tune. Majors' version leads into funky keys and charming snaps while Shelton's focuses more on strings. Shelton's voice, though slightly deeper, holds the same Southern charm as Majors.

"It's a death-defying life I lead, I'll take my chances/I've died for a living in the movies and tv/But the hardest thing I ever do is watch my leading ladies/Kiss some other guy while I'm bandaging my knee," sings Shelton on his version of the track. Snippets of Gosling and Blunt performing stunts and complicated fight scenes are set to the "Unknown Stuntman" cover.

"I might fall from a tall building, I might roll a brand-new car/'cause I'm an unknown stuntman who'd die to have your heart," he sings.

Instagram users expressed their feelings about the cover, with one fan writing "Glad to see Blake (oops! HEAR Blake) in the movies again; a man of many talents."

Shelton said that he jumped at the chance to take on "Unknown Stuntman" for the film.

"The Fall Guy was such a part of my childhood," he said of the television show. He continued, saying that the chance "to get to put my own spin on the theme song is pretty darn cool."

At the film's premiere, Shelton explained that covering the iconic track is "like a bucket list thing for me. I didn't even know who was in the movie or anything. I just said, 'I wanna do the song.'"

"I probably loved the song even more than I knew the TV show," he admitted.

Shelton walked the red carpet with his wife, Gwen Stefani. He said that he "didn't want to miss this premiere" as it is a "really big deal." He elaborated that it is exciting for him and Gwen to "be a part of something like this."

Shelton's version of "Unknown Stuntman" does not appear during The Fall Guy, but does accompany the credits.
