Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy believes that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could soon announce their engagement, potentially naming their future children after notable figures.

Speaking to the Call Her Daddy podcast, Portnoy discussed his predictions on the power couple. Perhaps the biggest prediction he proclaimed was that Swift and Kelce would get engaged "within a year."

As he furthered Swift and Kelce's romance, he talked to podcast host Alex Cooper about the couple's future children's names.

"They'll probably name [a son] after Mahomes. That wouldn't shock me," Portnoy suggested, prompting Cooper to contest that Swift wouldn't allow it because she has "more class than that."

"I mean Travis is a meathead, she's into the whole meathead thing," Portnoy maintained. "Everything she's doing she hasn't done before."

The 47-year-old sports mogul also joked that Swift and Kelce could name their future daughter "Aimee," a reference to Swift's latest alleged diss track against Kim Kardashian.

Portnoy, a confessed Swiftie, has since defended Swift against Kardashian, who he claims "suck up" to the singer, after their controversial rift that involved her ex-husband, Kanye West.

Fans have speculated that Swift threw shade at Kardashian on her The Tortured Poets Department album track, "thanK you aIMee."

Elle magazine has suggested that Swift's line in the song, "One day, your kid comes home singin' a song that only us two is gonna know is about you," referred to the many moments on social media where Kardashian and West's daughter, North West, have posted videos of herself dancing to Swift's songs.

Swift's newest album, The Tortured Poets Department, has shifted focus from her romance with Kelce to her alleged-kept grudge on exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy through some of her songs.

However, the excitement surrounding her new album hasn't dampened discussions about the couple's widely speculated engagement.

Sources have told Page Six that the couple have "discussed it and there is a plan."

"They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July," the source further claimed.

However, Swift's July schedule is jam-packed. She is set to tour for the whole month in Europe to continue her The Eras Tour. In July 2024, Swift will perform in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany.
