Several weeks into production on the fifth season of the musical dramadey "Glee," the cast has finally received the script for the third episode, which will be a tribute to the show's late star Cory Monteith.

Yesterday (Aug. 21), actress Jane Lynch, who plays the tough cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, tweeted: "Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan."

Besides the fact that it is currently in production, little is known about the third episode of the upcoming season of "Glee." However, creator Ryan Murphy has acknowledged that the episode will not deal with Monteith's death directly.

Monteith passed away on July 12 due to a lethal mixture of heroin and alcohol. He had long struggled with drug addiction. He was 31 years old.

Original plans included having his character Finn Hudson die of an accidental drug overdose like Monteith, however, he has since said the cause of Finn's death will not be discussed. "Basically, what we're doing in the episode is we are not telling you yet, or maybe not at all, how that character died. The idea being, how somebody died is interesting and maybe morbid, but we say very early on in the episode, 'This episode is about a celebration of that character's life,'" he told Deadline earlier in the summer.

Meanwhile, the cast and crew of "Glee" continue to follow the lead of Monteith's girlfriend at the time of his death and co-star, Lea Michele.

Fans have gotten word that Michele has been a pillar of strength on the set of "Glee" and have taken to Twitter to express their gratitude and support for the actress/singer. Earlier today (Aug. 22), "We Love You Lea" was trending on Twitter. Check out some fans' messages of support for the strong actress below.
