Alejandro Sanz Accused of Misconduct by Fan — Now He's Suing

Alejandro Sanz accused by fan of abuse

Singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz doesn't seem willing to let go of the statements made by Ivet Playa, a former fan who accused him of "emotional manipulation" and even used the term "sexual predator" when discussing their relationship that lasted several years.

According to Spanish journalist and influencer Nuria Marín, sources from Sanz's team informed her that they are "working on the lawsuit" against Playa, which would focus on defamation, based on what she said in the video she published on TikTok last week, in which she told her version of her story with Sanz, and the statements she made Friday night on the Spanish television program Viernes .

Among the falsehoods they allege, according to Marín, is that "Ivet was never at Alejandro Sanz's house" and that in 2019 "it is impossible for them to have any kind of meeting because the artist was living in Miami, among other things.

A day after Playa filed a complaint against Sanz, the singer-songwriter claimed he remembered a relationship "between two adults" and asserted that the woman had asked him to invest what ended up being almost a million dollars in her family's businesses.

On social media, Sanz thanked his fans for their support: "Thank you to everyone who has supported me these past few days. Because courage and friendship are demonstrated when it's easier to remain silent than to speak out. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'll never forget that. I love you."

Our thing is, obviously, music. Sanz is currently preparing his next tour, titled ¿Y Ahora Qué? (What Now? ), which will kick off in Mexico in September or October. The artist was in Spain this weekend to celebrate the First Communion of his two youngest children, Alma and Dylan, from his second marriage to Raquel Perea.

Also attending the celebration were Manuela, his eldest daughter, born during his marriage to Mexican model Jaydy Mitchel, and Alex, the product of a romance with a Peruvian makeup artist.

Meanwhile, the debate on social media continues over the appropriateness of a 48-year-old Sanz having a digital relationship via social media with a 15-year-old Playa, even though the sexual relationship didn't occur until she was 24.

"It would be important to clarify whether those messages were written by Alejandro himself or someone on his team," Martín herself said.
