BLACKPINK's Rose and Bruno Mars have confirmed they are working on another collaboration, though they have not revealed a release date yet.
In a recent Billboard interview published on December 11, 2025, the duo revealed that they have created additional songs together beyond their massive hit "APT." When asked if they had worked on other tracks that did not make it onto Rose's debut album "rosie" or if they had collaborated since the album's release, Rose responded with a knowing laugh.
Bruno Mars then confirmed the news, saying, "Oh, yeah, there is. And we love that song that we worked on — I won't say the title... We're just trying to figure out when, or how."
The original collaboration between Rose and Bruno Mars, "APT.," has been one of the biggest success stories of 2025. The collaboration for the massive hit "APT." began in a Los Angeles studio in 2024, sparked by a simple Korean drinking game. During a session with producers and songwriters, Rosé taught the room her favorite game, "Apartment" (pronounced apateu), leading the group to spontaneously chant the now-famous hook. Although Rosé initially hesitated to release a song based on a drinking game—even asking her team to delete it from their phones—the track found its way to Bruno Mars when she pitched him three potential songs for a collaboration.
Released on October 18, 2024, as the lead single from Rose's debut studio album "rosie," the track achieved remarkable commercial success. The song topped Apple Music's 2025 year-end charts across multiple categories, including Top 100: Global 2025, Top 100: Shazam, Top 100: Radio Chart, and Top 100: Most-read Lyrics. It also made history by reaching number nine on Billboard's 2025 Year-End Hot 100 chart, marking the first time a K-pop act has broken into the top 10 of this prestigious ranking.
"APT." earned three Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, making Rose the first lead K-pop artist to receive nominations in the Grammys' main six categories. The song also won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, another first for a K-pop artist.
Beyond "APT.," Bruno Mars also contributed to Rose's solo track "Number One Girl" as a co-writer and co-producer. During a phone call about other work, Rose mentioned she was stuck on the song, and Mars offered his creative input to help complete it.
