When she is not creating controversy in Australia, Miley Cyrus is singing, performing and covering songs like "Lilac Wine." And we enjoy the latter more than shocking parents who were expecting a Hannah Montana show. In her live cover from a recent gig in Melbourne, Cyrus gives an impressive vocal performance on the track, which was written in the 1950s and is best known from Jeff Buckley's 1994 masterpiece Grace. As MTV News notes, this is not the first time Cyrus has given the song a try, performing it back in 2012.

Both covers are well-done, but when it comes to covering Buckley, it is a tough task. Listen to the recent cover below via Soundcloud and then check out Cyrus's Backyard Sessions rendition.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer has three more dates Down Under before her Bangerz tour wraps, and some Australians cannot wait. The Daily Mail ran a story Friday, Oct. 10, highlighting some of Cyrus's stage antics that made some concert-goers leave early. Cyrus also went on a social media photo rampage recently, posting partially nude pictures of herself.

Buckley's album, Grace, only made it to No. 149 on Billboard's 200 albums chart. His cover of the Leonard Cohen classic "Hallelujah" is regarded as one of the best renditions of the song, and it was released as a single in the late 2000s, boosting record sales years after it was released.

"So, the question becomes how frustrated you are willing to be with Buckley," Pitchfork's review of the Legacy Edition reissue of Grace read. "His posthumous releases suggest what Grace did: that he was one of the most talented musicians of his generation, while also being one of the most impulsive and, often, maddeningly inconsistent."
