Taylor Swift is continuing her heavy promotion of her new album 1989 and her newfound love of New York City this week with a slew of TV appearances. This morning (Oct. 30), the pop megastar performed three cuts from her album in Times Square, including the fitting cut "Welcome to New York."

Against the bright lights of NYC (which never blind Swift, according to her lyrics), Swift kicked off her abbreviated three song set with "Welcome to New York." Mildly channeling a marching band majorette with a pair of navy blue high-waisted short shorts and a matching navy and gold striped top, Swift introduced the latest NYC anthem with wide, open arms and a smile on her face.

Watch the performance below:

Soon after "Welcome to New York," Swift shaked things up, quite literally, with a rousing performance of her lead 1989 single "Shake It Off." With a high match of energy and plenty of sass, Swift led the packed Times Square audience with a flurry of enthusiastic dancing. Members of the crowd could be seen for blocks getting down to the sick beat and shaking their own haters right off.

Swift wasn't all pep in her performance, she also got things mildly intense with a performance of the Jack Antonoff penned, Harry Styles inspired track "Out of the Woods." With a commanding foot stomp or two and intense looks, Swift snaked her way through the 1989 standout.

If this trio of songs wasn't enough for you, worry not, Swift also teased that she will soon be taking 1989 on the road, though she remained coy about details of the presumed 2015 tour.

Taylor Swift's new album 1989 was released on Monday, Oct. 27. The record is currently on pace to become platinum within its first seven days on sale.
